TRANE- “It’s Hard to Stop a Trane”
Trane has over 120 years of experience in the Heating and Air Conditioning business.
It began with our founder, James Trane, a Norwegian immigrant who opened his own plumbing shop in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1885. With the inspiration of cold Wisconsin winters, James Trane invented a new low-pressure heating system he proudly called the Trane Vapor Heating System. His son, Reuben, was just back from college with a degree in mechanical engineering, so father and son began manufacturing operations in 1910 and incorporated as The Trane Company in 1913. It was Reuben’s invention of the convector radiator in 1923 that firmly established the company’s reputation as an innovator, a reputation Trane people have been building on ever since.
Every Trane product is designed down to every detail and rigorously tested for reliability and durability. While other manufacturers build their products from the same “pool” of parts available to anyone, we make it a point to be uniquely better, innovative and always looking to the future. To do that, we have to design, build, test, and rebuild some of our own parts. We know they work because we push them well beyond the industry standards, making sure they match the reliability people expect when they own a Trane. From the durable Climatuff® compressor to the exclusive Spine Fin™ coil to the revolutionary Hyperion™ air handler—and a number of other patented innovations—when you own a Trane, you’re getting more than reliable comfort and you’re getting it year after year.
Get reliable, efficient heat when you need it with a gas furnace from Trane. Built to last, Trane gas furnaces are the choice for the majority of modern homes with central heating and air conditioning. Whether you are looking for a variable-speed gas furnace, single- or two-stage heating, Trane has you covered.
Summer is for relaxing, not battling the heat. A Trane central air conditioner allows you to rest comfortably day or night while eliminating the worry about your next utility bill. Each of our central air conditioning systems are designed to give you a cooler, happier life. So whether you’re hosting a summer get together or having a movie night in, you can relax peacefully knowing your home cooling needs are backed by a Trane air conditioner.
The benefits of owning a Trane central air conditioning unit do not end after installation. Each AC unit is backed with a Trane warranty.

What is a S.E.E.R rating?
The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) is an energy-efficiency rating for air conditioners. The SEER rating of a unit is the cooling output during a typical cooling-season divided by the total electric energy input during the same period. The higher the unit’s SEER rating the more energy efficient it is and the more you save.
What is a heat pump?
For climates with moderate heating and cooling needs, heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to move heat from a cool space to a warm space, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. During the heating season, heat pumps move heat from the cool outdoors into your warm house and during the cooling season, heat pumps move heat from your cool house into the warm outdoors. Because they move heat rather than generate heat, heat pumps can provide equivalent space conditioning at as little as one quarter of the cost of operating conventional heating or cooling appliances.
What is a furnace AFUE rating?
Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, or AFUE is the ratio of annual heat output of the furnace or boiler compared to the total annual fossil fuel energy consumed by a furnace or boiler. An AFUE of 90% means that 90% of the energy in the fuel becomes heat for the home and the other 10% escapes up the chimney and elsewhere.
